PLB CRAFT BEER

Water, yeast, barley malt, and hops are crucial—and serious—ingredients, but there are other ingredients, too.
We want to keep our desire to play, to try out things, to get our hands into things and experiment.
After all, we live in a larger-than-life, eccentric way, gutsy and amusing, but elegant, too, and open-armed, and, yes, street-smart… but above all we dream big.
Everything starts with our local area, in Romagna, on the border with Tuscany, but we’d like to export our craft way of life even farther than that….
PLB is the quintessential meeting-place between history made and pages yet to be written, between a passion for the artisanal and a modern approach!

The Weiss that will take you to the top

WEISS
WHEAT BEER

Produced according to the Bavarian style, unfiltered, displays an hazy straw yellow color, and a creamy white head. On the nose shows all the classic aromas of wheat, ripe fruit and clove. On the finish a light citric acidity which together with the low alcohol content, makes it refreshing.

The saison that will drive you into countryside to live

SAISON
DOUBLE MALT BEER

Classic style of the Belgian craft breweries. Slightly hazy, golden color, rich foam and a lively “perlage”. The mix of the two yeasts gives it an aromatic bouquet of white fruit and white pepper, followed by hints of wet hay with a light floral and citric note added by the hops. Barley, wheat, spelt and oat soften the finish, however dry. Complex in its simplicity, fragrant and satisfying on the palate.

UP'N UNDER

The Golden Ale that will become your favourite blonde

GOLDEN ALE
BLONDE BEER

English-style beer, straw yellow with golden hints and a white, fine and compact foam. On the nose malty and citrusy notes. In the mouth the scents of baked bread balance the herbaceous and citric notes of the two hops used in dry-hopping. Light and drinkable.

The Irish Red that will take you by surprise

IRISH RED ALE
RED BEER

Intense reddish color with a moderate compact head. On the nose the aromas of roasted malts, with a hint of hazelnut. On the palate the toffee and the toasted malts blend together, creating softness and sweetness, never cloying, reminiscent of milk chocolate. Soft and full body beer.

AMERICAN WHEAT
CLEAR BEER

American-style wheat beer, straw yellow color and slightly hazy in appearance, with a tall long-standing head. On the nose and in the mouth the tropical fruit and the citrus fruits are the result of a generous cold-addition of Australian and American hops, balancing the bitterness that remains in the average. Light and drinkable.

TIGHT HEAD

The English IPA that challenges you with its brashness

ENGLISH IPA
DOUBLE MALT BEER

 

A rigorous interpretation of the beer symbol of the British brewing tradition: a soft and toasted malt base, rich 100% English hopping, herbaceous, slightly floral and spicy. White and persistent foam, on the nose resin and tea leaves notes. In the mouth, the biscuit and bread crusts balance the typical, intense and long bitterness in the finish.

AMBER BEER

A beer with an intense citrus and fruity hopping, very American style, pale amber color and a persistent foam. On the nose hints of citrus, resin and tropical fruits. In the mouth the intense hop flavor and the alcohol content, are well balanced by a calibrated quantity of caramel malts.

SEASONAL

Beer inspired by Belgian Kerst Beer. Dubbel style, the classic one of the” abbey beers” with a brownish color (monk frock tone-like), good body and alcohol. Together with the traditional slightly caramelized and white fruit scents, there is a seasonal spice with melegueta pepper, bergamot and vanilla. An enveloping beer as warm as the Christmas Eve.

Questa è la mia terra

ITALIAN GRAPE ALE

Special beer, born from the meeting of the must of beer and the must of Sangiovese grapes. Two opposites that attract get together in a medium body and alcohol beer, with an pale pink color and a dry finish. On the nose and in the mouth the aromas of red fruits explode, the violet and an hint of spices, well balanced by a gentle acidity enhancing the freshness.

BLACK TUG

The Porter you’ll never forget

PORTER
DARK BEER

Dark brown with cappuccino color-like foam. On the nose and in the mouth displays hints of barley coffee and cocoa generated by the blend of toasted, caramel and roasted malts. According to the London tradition, the body is light and the alcohol low, compared to the Irish and American styles dark one, with a dry finish that helps drink without tiring the palate.
